Marshmallow Brownies

These brownies are a chocolate lovers dream.  A rich, moist chocolate brownie base, topped with puffed marshmallows and frosted with a deep chocolate frosting.

Ingredients: 

Directions:

Brownies:

​

1 cup (2 sticks) butter

​

1/3 cup cocoa

​

2 cups sugar

​

4 eggs

​

1 1/2 cups flour

​

1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped

​

2 t. vanilla

​

1 bag mini marshmallows

​

Frosting:

​

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

​

1/3 cup cocoa

​

1 2/3 cup powdered sugar

​

1/3 cup evaporated milk

​

​

Mix butter, cocoa and sugar until well combined.  Stir in flour, nuts and vanilla.  Spread mixture on ungreased jellyroll pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes.  Remove from the oven and sprinkle mini marshmallows on top, covering the brownies.  Return to oven and bake an additional 5 minutes.  Cool completely before frosting.

To make frosting, mix all ingredients until well combined. Spread over cooled brownies.  For easiest cutting, let sit overnight.
