Crispy Baked Chicken Wings
Guests who love crispy, savory chicken wings will be happy to learn that these incredible tasting wings aren't fried, but baked!
Servings: Approximately 8
Total Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
4 lbs chicken wings or drumsticks
1 T. baking powder (must be aluminum free)
1/2 t. kosher salt
2 t. garlic powder
freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup Guy Fieri's Kansas City Barbeque Sauce (Smoky and Sweet)
Directions:
Place oven rack one positition down from the top of the oven. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine baking posder, garlic powder, kosher salt and pepper in a small bowl. Pat chicken wings/drum sticks dry with paper towels and then coat each wing with the mixture. Cover a large rimmed cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place an oven proof wire rack over the aluminum foil. Arrange the wings/drum sticks on the rack, making sure the wings are not touching. Bake wings for 30 minutes. Turn the wings over and continue to bake for another 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the melted butter with Guy Fieri's Barbeque sauce. When the wings are finished baking, brush each wing on both sides with barbeque mixture. Serve immediately with your favorite blue cheese or ranch dressing.
